We’re Rosy & Shaun, a husband-and-wife wedding photography team based in Detroit. We photograph weddings throughout Michigan, from downtown Detroit and Ann Arbor to Northern Michigan and everywhere in between.
Our style blends documentary wedding photography, candid moments, timeless photographs, and editorial portraits. Most of the day, we're documenting things as they naturally happen. When it's time for portraits, we'll step in with direction, make you look damn good, and keep things moving.

From downtown celebrations to lakeside weddings up north, if you’re getting married somewhere in Michigan, chances are we’ll happily go there.
How much does a Michigan wedding photographer cost?
Our wedding photography collections begin at $4,000 for weddings in Detroit, Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Southeast Michigan. Every collection includes both Rosy & Shaun, photography timeline guidance, professionally edited high-resolution images, preview photographs delivered within days, and a private online gallery.
Northern Michigan and West Michigan weddings are custom quoted based on location and travel.
Do you photograph weddings in Ann Arbor?
Absolutely. We photograph weddings throughout Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County, and Ann Arbor is included within our standard Southeast Michigan wedding photography pricing. Whether everything is happening at one venue or your day takes us around the city, we'll help build a photography timeline that keeps things relaxed and moving.
Do you photograph destination weddings in Michigan?
Yes. We photograph destination weddings throughout Michigan, including Northern Michigan, Traverse City, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, the Leelanau Peninsula, Grand Rapids, and West Michigan. Travel outside Southeast Michigan is custom quoted based on your wedding location and coverage.
Do you charge travel fees for Michigan weddings?
Our standard wedding photography collections cover Detroit, Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Southeast Michigan. Weddings in Grand Rapids, West Michigan, Northern Michigan, and other locations requiring additional travel are quoted individually based on the wedding location and travel involved.
Why do couples hire two wedding photographers?
Because a lot happens at a wedding at the same time.
With two photographers, one of us can photograph you walking down the aisle while the other captures your partner's reaction. One can photograph portraits while the other documents cocktail hour. And while one of us is focused on what's happening right in front of us, the other can catch the moments happening around it.
We've photographed weddings together for more than 15 years, so we know where the other is, what the other is seeing, and when to step in or simply let a moment unfold. Every wedding is photographed by both Rosy & Shaun.
What is your wedding photography style?
Most of your wedding day is photographed in a documentary style, letting the real moments unfold naturally. The hugs, reactions, happy tears, ridiculous dance moves, and little moments you couldn't plan if you tried.
When it's time for portraits, we'll step in with confident direction to create everything from timeless family photographs to natural portraits and more editorial wedding portraits. Then we'll step back and let the day unfold again.
Our style isn't limited to one approach. Documentary storytelling, candid moments, timeless photographs, and editorial portraits. We do it all. The goal is a wedding gallery that feels like your day, looks damn good, and still feels like you years from now.
Can we book an engagement session without booking a wedding collection?
Absolutely. We offer Detroit Engagement Sessions and Metro Detroit Engagement Sessions that can be booked on their own or included as part of a wedding photography collection.
We'll help you choose a location, figure out the best time for photographs, and give you plenty of direction once we're there. You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. That's our job.
How far in advance should we book our Michigan wedding photographer?
Most couples book us 6 to 18 months before their wedding, with popular Michigan wedding dates and peak season Saturdays often booking 12 to 18 months in advance.
We photograph only one wedding per date and limit our calendar to around 30 to 32 weddings each year. That means when you book Rosy & Shaun, the date is yours. We never send associate photographers or book another wedding on the same day.
Once you have your wedding date and venue, it's a good time to reach out. If you know we're the photographers you want, booking early gives you the best chance of having your date available.
