It’s about 30-ish minutes outside downtown Detroit and a mile north of the Walnut Lake Road intersection. The venue sits in a corridor of a mostly residential area, adjacent to some woodlands.

A Planterra wedding ceremony can host up to 100 guests. However, a Planterra Conservatory wedding reception can host up to 200 seated guests.

Catering for your Planterra Conservatory wedding is offered on site, and the venue’s commitment to serving up Detroit favorites is unreal in the best way possible. Think: Michigan charcuterie, Sander’s Hot Fudge Cream Sundaes, and Vernor’s Floats. The collection of libations on their menu is also heavily influenced by locale, with Michigan beer, wine, and spirits such as Vineyards, Ferndale’s Valentine Distillery, and Detroit’s Two James Spirits.

Does Planterra Conservatory Offer a Menu Tasting to its couples?

They do! The venue offers a menu tasting as a group experience, and they do this twice a year. This gives you both a chance to sample their hors d’oeuvres, salads, entrees, and desserts before making the final menu selections for your wedding. Sure is! Dogs and cats are welcome to be part of your wedding ceremony at Planterra Conservatory, whether you want to task them with an important job like ‘flower sprinkler’ or just want to have them present at the altar with you. Once your wedding reception rolls around, their presence is still welcome; however, they would have to be on a leash. 

As you might expect, you are also responsible for your pet throughout the duration of your wedding. If you plan on having them along for the entire day, we highly recommend asking a member of your family or wedding party to help you out. Their assistance will especially be super handy during wedding photos. That way, your pup or cat can be present at times, take a break when needed, and you can still have fun while we capture every image.

Does the venue offer an on-site getting-ready suite?

Yep! Planterra Conservatory has an on-site dressing suite that will be made available to both of you on the day of your wedding. 

Are there Nearby Hotels With Shuttle Service to Planterra Conservatory?
