How far in advance should we book?
Once you've locked in your date and venue, it's a great time to reach out. Most couples book us 9–18 months in advance, but popular spring and fall dates can disappear quickly. Since every wedding is photographed by Rosy & Shaun, we only take one wedding per date.
Do you help with posing or are you fully candid?
We'll guide you when needed so you never feel awkward or unsure what to do, but we're not into stiff or overly posed setups. We might show you a pose, then have you walk, talk, laugh, or interact naturally so it feels more like a moment and less like a photoshoot. Because there are two of us, we can easily demonstrate what we're looking for and keep things flowing naturally. Most couples tell us they were surprised by how easy and comfortable it felt.
How much coverage do we need?
Most weddings are beautifully covered in 8 hours of consecutive coverage. We typically arrive 30–45 minutes before getting ready and stay through the first 20–30 minutes of open dancing. During our consultation, we'll walk through your plans and help determine what makes the most sense for your day.
Are both Rosy & Shaun at every wedding?
Absolutely. When you book us, you're getting the two people behind every photo you see on this website. From the first look to the dance floor, it's always Rosy & Shaun photographing your wedding together.
Why do you always photograph weddings together?
We built our business around photographing weddings together. While one of us is focused on the main moment, the other is often documenting the reactions, atmosphere, and everything happening around it. It creates a more complete story and ensures you're always working with the two people whose work brought you here in the first place.
Do you travel for weddings or only photograph in Michigan?
Detroit is home, but we're always up for an adventure. We photograph weddings throughout Michigan, spend part of the year in Florida, and travel for weddings across the country. Whether you're planning a wedding in Detroit, Tampa, Chicago, or somewhere much farther away, we'd love to hear what you have in mind.
How do we book you?
If you think we'd be a good fit, reach out and let's chat. Once you're ready to move forward, we'll send over a contract and invoice online. A signed contract and 25% retainer officially reserve your date, and then you're all set.
