Shepherds Hollow Golf Club Wedding

Caroline & Travis said I do with a Shepherds Hollow Golf Club wedding. It’s true we’ve attended a Shepherds Hollow wedding (or two), so we were excited to head back to one of our favorite Detroit area wedding venues again! For Caroline and Travis, their wedding at Shepherds Hollow Golf Club was very black-tie chic, four-string quartet. That is until it was time to hit the dance floor. Their entire crew was ready to dance, with a drink in hand, and spend the night celebrating Caroline and Travis as newlyweds!

We kicked off the day with a first look by the pool. Although, we had a gate crasher! The bride and groom’s furbaby, dressed in a pink bowtie for the occasion, got in on the first look action too. It was adorable beyond words, and you know we snapped every single moment. We are all about those candid moments, after all, don’t they always come with the best smiles? In fact, Caroline and Travis openly professed that they don’t exactly love being in front of the camera. Totally normal feeling to have, especially on your wedding. But, they honestly killed it! Their day was filled with smiles and laughter at every turn, it would have been nearly impossible not to get in as many amazing shots as we did.

Their wedding vows took place on the wraparound veranda at Shepherds Hollow Golf Club. The ceremony space is practically right in the midst of the pine trees, making it a vibey location to say I do. In the backdrop, a deconstructed floral arch served as their altar, and before you know it, Caroline and Travis were pronounced as husband and wife. Once the ceremony was over, we hit the pathways with the bride and groom, along with their wedding party to make some wedding portrait magic. It was awesome to see how joyful Caroline and Travis were after their ceremony, but with their wedding party in tow, their personalities truly shined. Shepherds Hollow Golf Club never disappoints when it comes to wedding photos in their epic landscape. There are towering pines in every direction and the grounds are littered with pinecones.

With heaps of wedding day photos officially wrapped, it was time to spend the night partying. The high-energy vibes continued into their reception where a four-tier wedding cake awaited, the drinks were flowing, and Travis was ready to take Caroline’s dress for a spin on the dance floor! They had an amazing DJ who kept the hits coming and guests up out of their chairs. The wedding party did their thing and every single guest in attendance had a night to remember! “I highly recommend Rosy and Shaun! They were so wonderful to work with for our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I don’t love taking photos but we wanted to make sure we had all the special moments captured. Rosy and Shaun were so fun to work with and made everything easy and comfortable – they even let us include our dog, Lucy!
