Carolyn and Montgomery celebrated their wedding at the Detroit Opera House, combining one of Detroit’s most iconic venues with a day that felt both elegant and deeply personal.
The day began across the street at the Siren Hotel, where they got ready surrounded by family and friends. Before the ceremony, they shared a private first look on one of the balconies inside the Detroit Opera House. With the historic architecture surrounding them, it was the perfect setting for a quiet moment together before the celebration began.
Afterward, we spent time exploring downtown Detroit with the couple and their wedding party. From the city’s historic architecture to its vibrant streets, downtown provided an incredible backdrop for portraits before everyone returned to the Opera House for the ceremony.
Their rooftop ceremony offered stunning views of the city skyline and created a truly unique setting for exchanging vows. Following the ceremony, guests gathered in the grand main lobby for an evening of dinner, heartfelt toasts, and celebration. The scale and beauty of the space created an unforgettable atmosphere for the reception.
As the evening continued, the lobby transformed into a packed dance floor filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments. From beginning to end, the day reflected Carolyn and Montgomery’s personalities and the joy of celebrating with the people they love most.
The Detroit Opera House remains one of our favorite wedding venues in the city, offering couples a combination of historic architecture, incredible views, and a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of downtown Detroit.
